Šmartinska Project is located in the central part of Ljubljana. The location is distinguished for the vicinity of the old heart of town, all infrastructural advantages and excellent traffic links. Its position next to Šmartinska cesta, one of the five arterial roads to the city,
enables quick access to the city ring road on one side and to the most important business, cultural and recreational centres on the other.

The main railway and bus stations are also in immediate vicinity. The architectural solution proposed by the Zamp Kelp architectural studio from Berlin was used as the basis for town planning of the area under consideration.

Šmartinska Project was designed in order to complement the old heart of the city with a new modern district distinguished by its contemporary urban architecture as well as enabling a new way of living and urban culture development by its integration of housing with educational, cultural, healthcare and business facilities.

The design of this new city district will provide for a high level of living for various groups of population while modern architectural solution of internationally recognized architects will contribute to a visual modernization of the city.
